Pedro Aviles was a notorious Mexican drug lord who operated in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Aviles was born in Sinaloa, Mexico and started his criminal career as a member of the Sinaloa Cartel, one of the world's largest drug trafficking organizations. He quickly rose through the ranks due to his cunning and ruthlessness, becoming one of the cartel's top leaders.
Aviles was known for his innovative smuggling techniques, which included using submarines and boats to transport drugs across the border. He also had personal ties with influential politicians and police officials, allowing him to operate with relative impunity.
Despite his success, Aviles was eventually assassinated by a rival drug lord in 1978. However, his legacy lived on, as many of the strategies and connections he established were adopted by other drug cartels in Mexico.
